About the App

Teach Me Daddy is a family education app that enables parents to create personalized learning content (slides, audio/video recordings) for their young children. The app is designed for use by adults; children do not create accounts or input data.

Children may view content in a "child viewing mode" but all account creation, content creation, and data management is performed by the parent/guardian account holder.

Data We Collect

Account Data (Adults Only)

• Email address, name, and username (via BENED account)
• Family circle connections (users you invite to share content)

User-Generated Content

• Educational slides and presentations you create
• Audio/video recordings you create
• Content titles, descriptions, and creation dates

Device Data

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Push notification tokens (if enabled)

How Your Data is Stored

Local-First Storage

Your recordings and educational content are stored locally on your device. You maintain full control over your content.

Temporary Cloud Storage (Sharing Only)

When you share content with family circle members:

• Encrypted: All shared content is encrypted in transit and storage
• Time-Limited: Content automatically deletes after 30 days
• Download-Triggered: Content is removed sooner once downloaded
• No Permanent Storage: We do not keep copies after expiration

Children's Privacy

Children do not create accounts, log in, or provide any personal information.

The app includes a "child viewing mode" for watching parent-created content, but:

• No data is collected from children
• Children cannot input information
• Children cannot create profiles
• All account management is performed by parents

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). All data collection occurs through adult parent accounts only.

Family Circle Sharing

You may invite other users to your family circle:

• You control what content is shared
• You can revoke access at any time
• Connections require acceptance by both parties
• Shared content uses temporary encrypted storage

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data or content
• We do not use your content for advertising
• We do not train AI on your family's recordings
• We do not retain content beyond sharing expiration
• We do not share your content with third parties
• We do not track or profile children
• We do not display targeted advertising

Your Rights

• Access: View all data associated with your account
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
• Control: Manage what content is created and shared
• Revoke: Remove shared content access at any time

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following services:

• BENED Authentication (Keycloak): For secure account login
• BENED Cloud: For temporary encrypted content sharing

No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.
